Space Rules

Our house rules are meant to ensure the safety, respect, and wellbeing of everyone within our space and extended community, including our team, guests, and collaborators.

  • Come with curiosity — each evening offers its own magic. 

  • Please extend kindness to everyone in the space.

  • No outside food or drinks.

  • We reserve the right to ask guests to leave if we find they have disregarded any of the space rules or if we find they are being disrespectful.

How do I get to The Kite?

We’re located at 40 Loisaida Ave between 3rd and 4th streets in East Village, NYC. The M9 bus stops right in front of our doors! You can also take the F, L, and stroll.

Do you accept reservations?

All tickets for The Kite are General Admission and are first come, first seated. We always reserve some seating to accommodate special requests — please reach out to bar@franciskiteclub.com if you have specific seating needs.

Can we take photos and videos of the space?

The Kite is built as a space for sociality — while guests are allowed to take photos/videos and encouraged to tag us (@franciskiteclub) on social media, we hope your time at The Kite won’t be entirely about taking photos/videos. We ask that all guests in our space be respectful of other guests and our team. No flash photography, tripods, and professional shoots.

Those who come to events at The Kite, enter a space where photography, audio, and video recording may occur and consent to being filmed or photographed by The Kite's team. Can we bring laptops/ipads?

No laptops or iPads at The Kite.

Are you wheelchair accessible?

Yes, our space is designed to accommodate individuals using wheelchairs, and we have one restroom that complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility standards.

What is your cancellation policy?

No refunds or exchanges will be issued for tickets to any events at The Kite. All sales are final. If an event is canceled or rescheduled due to unforeseen causes to the extent beyond our reasonable control, you will be notified via the email you used to reserve your ticket for a refund.

Do you have a lost-and-found?

Yes, please ask the bartender or call 917-216-2006 during our hours of operation.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, credit cards, and Apple Pay.

What is your smoking policy?

Smoking and vaping inside the space is strictly prohibited.

Can I propose a collaboration?

For collaborations on workshops, music ideas, or anything else that feels aligned with The Kite, please contact us at programs@franciskiteclub.com
